I spend a considerable amount of time using social media sites. Probably more time than I should, but it keeps me occupied and out of trouble when I’m off the clock. All I need is my phone to enjoy the fun and it is free. I think it is a winning situation! Besides, there are so many sites and so many things to do that the fun never stops. But, with dozens of sites out there to choose from, most people stick with the well-known sites and never get a chance to experience the rest.
Of course, I like all of those sites, too, but I’ll be the first to tell you that some of the lesser known sites are absolutely amazing and worth your time. I’ve found these sites are more personal since there are fewer people there, so it is easier to make a name for yourself (great for singers, artists, businesses, etc.) and interact with more people on a personalized level. That is something that I really enjoy. I divide my time between the well-known sites and those that aren’t quite as popular, but nonetheless worth the adventure.
Instagram is one of my favourites to use. I am a photographer by profession and love to snap shots of everything that I encounter. Honestly, there is beauty in everything that surrounds us if only the time to find that beauty is taken. So, Instagram provides the chance to share my visions with others, giving them inspiration and delight. That makes me feel great. I find it easy to get real likes on Instagram and the option to buy likes and followers is there if I ever decide to use that.
Tinychat is a social media site that I also enjoy. This is a far-out site, so proceed with caution. Here, up to eight people can live stream and interact with one another in various type of groups. It is best that only the 18+ crowd visit this site. I’ve seen some pretty wild stuff on there, but once you get your own room or find the ‘good’ rooms, it is endless fun.
When I have a question, I use Thumb. Yes, this is a simple name but it is an awesome site that lets me ask my question and get answers within seconds. You can ask the Thumb users just about any type of question that you want and get a fast response. It is a pretty cool site to say the least. I also like to use Medium since I like to blog. It’s the bloggers headquarters!
Of course I use Facebook, too. I mean, really, who doesn’t? There are all kinds of people on FB, tons of groups, GIFs, photos, and socialization like none other. It still maintains its status as the top social media site around and one that we still use, even when we hate to admit that fact! Facebook gets most of my time, but I am out there, exploring those lesser known sites and so should you!
